Rick and Jim Spann, with a gentle nudge from their father, started R.J. Spann in 1983 and built a Company founded on traditional values dedicated to quality craftsmanship, hard work and honesty in all endeavors. Rick and Jim have guided the Company, located in Santa Barbara, to its success as a leading General Contractor throughout California.

Our projects have ranged in scope from a seaside hotel, apartment complexes, and the blending of new home additions into the community. Additional projects include industrial manufacturing plants to a four-star Italian Trattoria. R.J. Spann works with projects considering things as fundamental as seismic strengthening, and as unique as the preservation of Santa Barbara's cultural landmarks.
